Primeros días en Phuket Tailandia

Aún no se cómo explicar todas las sensaciones y sentimientos que estamos teniendo en nuestra primera semana en Tailandia ya que todo es muy diferente.
Tras un largo viaje en tren y avión, unas 20 horas en total, llegamos por fin a Phuket. Lo primero que notas nada más pisar tierra es un golpe de calor tremendo. El aeropuerto no está mal, tienen servicio de taxi y te ponen facilidades para el cambio de moneda.
Estuvimos alojados cinco días en un bonito hotel mientras buscábamos casa. Vimos unas cuantas hasta que dimos con la nuestra.
Aquí tienen otra filosofía de vida, se suele comer y cenar fuera ya que es mucho más barato que comprar y cocinar en casa, incluso muchas casas no tienen fogones ni microondas. Lavadoras tampoco encontrarás en las casas, llevas la ropa a una de las cientos de lavanderías que hay.
Una de las cosas que más nos gusta es que además de que la comida es muy barata en la mayoría de restaurantes te sirven una jarra de agua con tu vaso y miles de cubitos de hielo gratis, es de agradecer. La comida muy rica, solemos comer en restaurantes Thai, cocina tailandesa, es un tipo de comida muy saludable, no encontrarás ni pan ni postres, ahora todo el arroz, verduras y pasta que quieras.
Entre que estamos comiendo sano y la inmensa calor se nos esta poniendo un figurín que no veas jeje 
Casi todo el mundo se mueve en moto, es mucho más práctico para llegar a los sitios, ya que las aceras brillan por su ausencia. Se conduce por la izquierda, cosa que nos sorprendió, y reina un pequeño caos a la hora de conducir, pero hay un orden dentro del desorden.
Los perros y gatos se mueven libres por donde quieren, llevan collares por lo que suponemos tienen dueño, casi siempre están durmiendo o tumbados en las calles, la calor los deja K.O., como a casi todos los seres vivos que estamos aquí :)
Llevamos poquito tiempo pero ya hemos podido visitar varias cositas, templos, playas de película, mercadillos con su sección de insectos comestibles arggh.... En fin de todo un poco, pero lo que puedes percibir con claridad es el gran contraste entre lujo y pobreza en un abrir y cerrar de ojos. Es realmente impactante...
Esperamos sacar todo el jugo a esta aventura y sobre todo disfrutarla!

We don´t know how to explain all the sensations and feelings that we are experiencing in our first week in Thailand because everything is very different.
After a long journey by train and plane, about 20 hours, we finally arrived to Phuket. The first thing you notice is a tremendous heat stroke. The airport is not bad, it has taxi service and they give you facilities for the exchange.
We stayed five days in a nice hotel while we were looking for a house. We saw a few until we found ours :)
The philosophy of life is different here, you usually have lunch and dinner outside because it is much cheaper than buying and cooking at home, even many houses don´t have a hot stove or microwave. You can't find washing machines in the houses, you bring your clothes to one of the hundreds of laundries  you can find.
One thing we like is that the food is very cheap in most restaurants and beside they serve a jug of water with your glass and thousands of ice cubes, this is for free, it is appreciated.
The food is delicious, usually we eat at Thai restaurants, Thai food is a type of very healthy food, you don't find bread or dessert, it's all about rice, vegetables and all the pasta you want. So, thanks to the food and the hot weather we are going to be very slim ;)
Almost everyone moves on a motorcycle, it is much more practical to reach the sites because the sidewalks don't exist. Driving is on the left side, which surprised us, and a little chaos reigns when driving, but there is an order in all this chaos.
Dogs and cats move free, we suppose they have owners (because some have collars) but they prefer to leave them free. They are all very quiet and usually sleeping or lying in the streets, the hot weather leaves them without energy, as almost every living being here .
Little time have passed but we have been able to visit several temples, beaches, markets with a section of edible insects arggh ....  A bit of everything, but you can notice clearly the great contrast between luxury and poverty in a blink of an eye. This is shocking.
We hope to squeeze as much juice out of adventure as we can and especially enjoy it!
